To complete the Entrepreneurship component of GCSP, I completed the required course FSE 301 and undertook an entrepreneurial experience.

I took FSE 301 with Professor Eli Chmouni during the spring of 2016. I worked with an interdisciplinary group of engineering and business students to create the team Dynamix. Our venture, Knowledge Knot, created and sold an electronic book called The Freshman's Guide to Arizona State University. We partnered with ASU admissions to promote the book, as well as sold the book at orientations to incoming ASU students and their families.

For the second component of this requirement, I participated in the Social Venture Partners Fast Pitch Challenge. I was selected as one of three student semi-finalists to give a three-minute fast pitch of my venture, FitStart Kids. After two months of mentorship and practice pitches, I was selected as the the student winner. This allowed me the opportunity to pitch on stage during the final demo day in front of a crowd of over 400 people. I was also awarded $2,000 in seed funding to support the further development of my venture.
