The Global component of GCSP was accomplished through COM 263: Elements of Intercultural Communication and STS 332: Global Issues in Science & Technology. As a grand challenge scholar, understand and adapting to different scenarios, paradigms, and approaches is essential. Both of these courses taught me how to achieve this ability. COM 263 was notable for breaking down communication methodologies and paradigms and how to incorporate this into collaborative efforts. STS 332 proveded me with the tools to think critically and examine the sociopolitical effects of a technology to optimize execution - which is important when so many groups and variables are involved.
