In order to complete my service learning component, I participated in three semesters of Engineering Projects in Community Service (EPICS). Students formed groups in this program and worked on projects that were from local problems within our community. This program was an amazing opportunity that introduceded me to important aspects of engineering work like going through the engineering design process and having project deadlines overseen by a client. This was one of the courses that made me feel the closest to being an engineer, and it was completed by my sophomore year. EPICS proved to be an incredible experience I will never forget.
