My name is Jorge Roldan, and I am a Grand Challenge Scholar-Engineer majoring in Computer Science. I will graduate with my Bachelor’s in Spring ‘18, when I will also be officially completing the Grand Challenge Scholars Program (GCSP).

This program consists of five components that will uniquely prepare students to face the grand challenges of modern society. Throughout the completion of the program, I focused my experiences around the theme of education. I believe any advancements in education will directly influence society’s future, and that is why I chose to focus on this particular theme. In this portfolio, I will describe each component I completed and reflect on how their experiences expanded my understanding of education, as well as my global and social awareness.
