My name is Randee Huffman and I was born and raised in Hemet, California. To me academics is the only thing I have ever been really good at so I just decided to take advantage of it and go to college. The reason why I decided to go to Arizona State University was because of the Barrett Honors Program. If I didnt decide to apply to the Honors College or I didnt get into it I would probably be attending college at San Diego State. I became a Grand Challegne Scholar because after I got invited to apply to the program I looked up what exactly the Grand Challenge Scholar Program was and what I found was very interesting. I am majoring in Mechanical Engineering but I wanted to somehow incorportate the health department into my future job. After looking at what the program consisted of I thought that this was the way that I could incorporate health into my major. I am really interested in prothstetics and the mechanisms behind them. I am interested in any grand challenge that I can use my mechanical skills within the health area.

This portfolio showcases the work I have done over the past four years in my undergrad within the Grand Challenge Scholars Program theme area of Health. Throughout my four years in this program I also picked up a minor in Global Health due to my fascination with global health and the peaked interest I had in it when taking courses for this program. I have expanded my knowledge and experiences by taking extra courses, volunteering, innovating new business ideas, and taking on lead roles in the Fulton Schools. This theme area has taught me more than I could have ever imagined and I hope one day I can use put this knowledge to work.
