When first defining what genre was, I did not realize how much my daily life constitutes to genre. I thought about how I use different genres in my life. I put on nice clothes to give an impression that I have a good taste in clothing. I put on makeup so people will assume that I have my life together, and I put on perfumes so that people think my smell is nice. By summarizing my basic looks to my audience, I give them an impression of me right off the bat. Considering this aspect of my personality, I realized that I can do this with writing. If I dress up my writing to my audience and make it sound exciting, my audience should get a basic understanding of what I am about to discuss.
