Welcome to Saumya Gupta's Grand Challenge Scholars Program Portfolio.

I am a senior at Barrett, the Honors College at Arizona State University studying chemical engineering with a focus in pre-medical studies graduating in May of 2017. My love for science was sparked through the International Baccalaureate Program in high school while volunteering at the Histocompatibility Lab at Mayo Clinic allowed me to understand the impact of scientific research. 

Upon acceptance into the Grand Challenge Scholars Program, I knew I wanted to focus my efforts towards advancements in the medical industry. For this reason, my work in the Grand Challenge Scholars Program Theme was towards health.

This portfolio will walk you through my experience as a Grand Challenge Scholar over my years at Arizona State University including my research, study abroad, interdisciplinary studies, entrepreneurship, and service learning.
